As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our community, Indian Way School has made significant adjustments to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and staff. One of the most critical aspects of our effort is implementing thorough cleaning protocols to minimize the risk of virus transmission.
At Indian Way School, we have adopted a range of measures to create a safer learning environment, including:
- Regular cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, and shared equipment.
- Increased ventilation to improve air quality and reduce the concentration of airborne particles.
- Social distancing measures to limit close contact between individuals and reduce the spread of the virus.
- Providing hand sanitizer and encouraging frequent hand washing to prevent the spread of germs.
- Enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff members, including face masks and shields.
In addition to these measures, Indian Way School has also had to adapt to remote learning and hybrid models to limit the number of people in the building at any given time. We have implemented staggered schedules or alternate days to limit the number of students on campus, and have even installed plexiglass barriers between desks.
While these adjustments have certainly presented significant challenges, we know that they are essential for protecting the health and safety of everyone involved. By working together and following these guidelines, we can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure that Indian Way School remains a safe and welcoming place for our students, teachers, and staff.
